Kyle Ryde managed the drying conditions best to take pole ahead of the first race of the day at ✅Oulton Park.

Less than ideal conditions greeted the BSB rider♚s, as rain arrived✤ just before Q1 began.

Rich Energy OMG Yamaha rider Ryde, claimed his first pole froma qualifying sesson pole🌌 after a brave ride on a slippery track to post a best of 1m 43.086s.

Using Lee Jackson as a marker, he followed his lines around the track and then improved upon them to claim the top spot, where he will look to build upon his second place in the chammpi♐o𓂃nship.

MCE Ducati’s Josh Brookes, arguably one of the most successful ri🌱der🍰s on the grid, finished outside the top twelve in practice, in a lowly 17th.

He then only just made it through Q1 with the sixth best time before his racing experien﷽ce shone through. His late lap blitzed those that had come before and looked strong for pole before being deposed by the charging Ryde. The #25 was 0.707s slower after that lap registere♌d.

Luke Mossey (TAG Racing Honda) was the fir🎉st to get a lap on the board in Q1 and was competitive in Q2,𓂃 with the best lap dropping on repeat as the track dried out.

His second run in qua🌸lifying left him third to complete the front ro🎶w of the grid.

Ror꧑y Skinner showed strong pace in the damp but just missed out on a front row start in fourth for FS🙈-3 Racing Kawasaki.

The top five features five different manufacturers with Peter Hickman calling on his experience to help him to line up nesxt on the grid for FHO Racing BMw, just haead of team-mate Ryan Vicekersꦫ who regularly lead proceedings on his way to sixth.

Bradley Ray came into Q2 top after setting a new all time lap record in FP1. Building on his Silverstone performance where he scored two podium fi🐬nishes he wobbled and twitched in the wet and could not quite manage the wet weather prowess of Ryde, finishing the session seventh.

Andrew Irwin (BMW - SYNETIQ BMW Motorrad) and Brookes’ team-mate  Tom Sykes, back at Oulton Park for the first time in over a decade, also missed out, in 14th and 15th respectively on Saturday’s combined times.
Irwin was one of the six to move into Q2 an♏d built into the session, improving♓ to eighth fior BMW SYNETIQ BMW Motorrad, just ahead of his brother.

🎶Coming into qualifying with the seventh best time the Honda Racing rider struggled to make an impact.

Never really bothering the frontrunners and almost two sec🎃onds off the pace, Irwin will be looking to make headway in the race, which is predicted to be dry after the deluge which delayed the start of qualifying.

SYNETIQ BMW’s🌳 Danny Buchan did enough to slip inside the top ten.

Tom Sykes moved up from Q1 with the second best time but could not keep his form꧟ as the track dried, posting the eleventh best run fo𓆏r MCE Ducati after regularly being near the top of the timeheets at the start of the second session, the drying track doing very few any favours with grip.

It was a similar story for Danny Kent (Buildbase🤪 Suzuki)who came into Q2 with the top time, but the former Moto3 champion too found the going tough despite valuable track time in the changeable conditions. Kent will be the top Suzukiﷺ on the grid.

The pair were split by Leon Haslam, who claimed twe♐lfth🍸 for VisionTrack Kawasaki.

Jason O’Halloran dominated the first round at the track last season picking up all three wins and one more when the paddock returned for the showdown. Today was a completely different story - off the pace by almost three seconds ♈🐓and only 14th.

The sixthof the riders who moved ✱into Q2, Storm Stacey finished the session 18th for Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki.

Tarran Mackenzie remains absent

Looking to race this weekend and hoping to be back in action as soon as possible Tarran Mackenzie was not passed fit after a late fitness test but is present at the track with the McAMS team. Feeling good with his cast off but still on crutches the defending champion was advised not to race so is now hopeful of a Donington return. Mackenzie already has a lot to make up after Glenn Irwi𒅌n won all three races at Silverstone in round one, but with seveal DNFs in his title winning season the gap should still not be impossible to make up, with it less likely further crashes would aggravate his injury further.
