Jason O’Halloran claimed his first win﷽ of the season after taking over from Bradley Ray at the front in race two of the British Superbike action at Donington Park.

After having 💜to settle for second in race one the McAMS Yamaha rider got the season well and truly back on track for his team back with a superb victory, hunting down the solo Ray at ꦅthe front and then pulling away to win by a margin of 2.563s

O’Halloran had started on pole for the first time this season aft♏er lowering the lap record further in race one, but lost the lead to Ray on lap two, 🎀with the second Rich Energy OMG Yamaha with Kyle Ryde along for added company.

The OMG pair then pulled away slig🦄htly, until Ryde, who had just set another new lap record whic🎶h secured pole for race three, pushing too hard and sliding out early at McLeans on lap six, his bike cartwheeling all the way to the tyre wall and in need of a big rebulid before the final race of the weekend.

O’ Halloran reeled in Ray who was left with a huge advantage after the fall and pressure forced enough wobbles for him to take over at the front on lap thirteen and remain ahead all th🃏e way to the line.

The number 28 holds the title lead after finishing second - which now cannot be taken from him following the results behind regardless of the result of race three as✨ he now holds a 29 point advantage with both Ryde and Glenn Irwin not fin🌸ishing the race.

Irwin was forced to retire after the footpegs fell off his bike, allowing Leon Jackson to move into second ov🍎erall after a solid third place finish in the race for Kawasaki FS-3 Racing, showing his race pace in advance by topping mornin🧸g warm-up.

Fourth went to Peter Hickman after a determined performance. The FHO Racing BMW rider winning a race long battle to lead the chasing gro🧔up over the line for his best finish of the🦄 season.

Leon Haslam found himself down in eleventh on the grid and immediately started a charge forward. Ninth by the end of the first lap he soon had the VisionTrac🦩k Kawasaki in the fꦯive-way battle for fourth, finishing an eventual fifth.

Mackenzie battles the pain barrier for sixth.

With his title defence now underway following a top ten finish in the sprint, Tarran Mackenzie li♉mped onto his bike to attempt to improve his points haul on his fi𒆙rst weekend back in the British Superbikes paddock.

Initially dropping back from tenth on the grid, the McAMS Yamaha rider battled his recovering body, now sufferi𒁏ng from arm pump as he puts pressure on other muscles to compensate, and found himself in the push for fourth.

Suffering more in the closing stages of the longer 26 lap race, the bike, with the number one plate finally on show crossed the line a hard earned sixth, just over fifteen seconds🌜 off the leaders.

Christian Iddon was nex🃏t to take the chequered flag for Buildbase Suzuki, just holding off Rory Skinner in the ru𝄹n to the line as their duel went to the wire.

Skinner had needed a rebuild of his Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 after a crash ♛in the warm-up session where he finished second🐠.

Ryan Vickers (FHO Racing BMW with Attis Sports) was the last of the🐓 group, just off the back for ninth with Josh Brookes a second further down the road in tenth for MCE Ducati.

His team-mate, the equally experienced Tom Sykes was a clear eleventh with a wait for Chrissy Rouse (Crowe Performanc🔜e BMW)vto arrive at the line in twelfth.

He had close company from Synetiq BMW Motorrad’s Danny Buchan in 13th. There was a big battle for the final points places, which were taken by Buchan’s team-mate Andrew Irwin in 14th an🤡d Honda’sꦛ Ryo Mizuno in 15th.

That meant Josh Owens and Dan Linfoot missed out in 16th 🌠and 17th respectively♏.

🌟Liam Delves, Luke Hopkins and James East all joined Glenn Irwin in retiring to the pits. Leon Jeacock, Storm Stacey and Tommy Bridewell all made early exits into the gravel.

Race One Recap

The sprint race aroun🥀d the National layout went to Kyle ride after an explosive comeback by Jason🐈 O’Hallornan caused a close photo finish with just 0.038s between the pair.

Both riders had needed to race thier way back to the front, with Rory Skin🐠ner leading the early laps, before a shuffle saw Bradley Ray find his way to the front.

♔Ryde made sure to get back on terms with his Rich Energy OMG team-mate and took a chance on hitting the🐭 front early, with twelve laps remaining.

O’Halloran, who lead briefly earlier in the way looked determined to complete his comeback with a race win for McAMS Yamaha and looked for a way through all the wa🎀y to the line.

Ray held third to complete an all Yamaha podium.

Behind them,🤪 fresh from a f𓆉irst ever win at Oulton Park, Lee Jackson took fourth, with Glenn Irwin, who dominated the opening round fifth.

Christian Iddon made up the most places 🐈in the❀ race, climbing form 14th on the gird to finish sixth.

Tarran Mackenzie finished his first race b🐭ack as reigning champion in tenth.
