Tyco Suzuki team manager Philip Neill feels last year's British Superbike C🔯hampionship runner-up Josh Brookes is better placed than ever to secure a first BSB title for the Northern Ireland team.

Australian rider Brookes was narrowly edged out by Shane 'Shakey' Byrne on ﷺthe Rapid Solicitors Kawasak𒆙i in 2012 as the title race went down to the wire at the final round at Brands Hatch.

The 29-year-old is now entering his third consecutive season with the Suzuki team and Neill is confident this continuity will give Brookes a superb platform on which to launch his latest championship assault in the high-profile serie🐲s.

Talented New Yorker PJ Jacobsen will riꦓde alongside Brookes as the team's second BSB rider and adds an exciting dimension to the line-up.

Speaking after the new Tyco Suzuki livery for 2013 was officially unveiled, Neill said: "Josh Brookes is now in his third year with us at TAS Racing and I'm sure that consistency will prove to be vital in our championship aspirations with him.

"PJ Jacobsen came in late last year and was like a bre🥀ath of fresh air to the team, but as a BSB series rookie there will be no undue pressure put🍸 on him this season - although he is a talented individual and will no doubt be looking to push into the sharp end of the action sooner rather than later.

"After another long hard winter pulling everyꦬthing together, I hope you'll agree, the 2013 Tyco Suzuki livery is a vibrant and refreshing change and should be easy to spot this season both in the British championship and also at t💟he international road races," said Neill.

"It really is good to see tꦺhe bikes looking so well and it's a credit to everyone involved, including 🦩our designers and painters for coming up with something.

"Hopefully the new live▨ry can be matched by something just as sh💟arp on track this season."

Taylor Mackenജzie, who heads up the team's Supersport challenge on the GSX-R600, continues to learn his trade after a solid debut year in the class on the Mar-Train Yamaha and the 20-year-old son of triple BSB champion and 500cc Grand Prix hero Niall will be aiming to put that experience t꧅o good use as he attempts to climb the racing ladder.

On the roads, Guy Martin continue🍬s his quest to sꦫecure an elusive victory at the Isle of Man TT, where he'll be joined by Brookes on the GSX-R1000 machines.

Brookes has committed to making ✅his eagerly anticipated debut on the Mountain cour✨se in June after falling in love with the event.
