Josh Brookes has apologised for making the races at Cadwell Park 'boring' after notching up a third consecutive double winner.

J🍌osh Brookes has apologised for making the races at Cadwell Park 'boring' after taking a third straight double winner to extend his consecutive victory run to six.

The Milwaukee Yamaha rider completely trounced his British Superbike rivals by taking a clean sweep 🌸of top spots in the free practice sessions꧟, pole position in qualifying and two race wins at the Lincolnshire circuit.

As a result, Brookes extends his lead in the BSB standings having already booked himself a place in the Showdown and has surpassed Shane Byrnไe's Podiums points advantage with the defending champion stalling on 41 while the Australian jumped ahead with 45.

Brookes, who is hunting a maiden BSB crown, made a tongue-in-cheek apology about the battle🐠 at the front after he comfortably pulling away from the chasing pack in both races.

"I'm sorry it was a bit boring but I am sure there will be plen🃏ty of races that come up in the future to be exciting enough..." Brookes said. "I didn't want to let up I had a big gap and it is easy to make mistakes and lose concentration when you are not in a battle.

"When you are in a battle you never lose concentration because you are fighting for every corner. When you are on your own you want to be smooth and calculated andᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ if you slow up you start to make mistakes."

Brookes also reaffirmed his delight at finding a dominant set-up with the ne💫w Yamaha R1 and will be hoping to maintain his control on the championship to clai✱m a first BSB title after a series of near-misses.

"I'm really pleased with Milwaukee Yamaha even though it go🎶es without saying," he says. "The bike is working so well and﷽ with the combination of the team, the tyres and me everything just works. It is like gears rotating together."
