Reid set for operation on fractured femur
Andy Reid will undergo an operation to set a fractured femur after sustaining the nasty🌜 injury at Silverstone in race two of the triple-header in the MCE Br♏itish Superbike championship.
The Tyco BMW rider tipped off on lap nine of the second BSB race in an incident whic🧜h also saw Martin Jessopp fall unhurt from his Ridersmotorcycles BMW and forced the safety car to be deployed so Reid could be transported to the medical centre by 🅘ambulance.

After being taken to the Silverstone medical centre and diagnosed with a fracture femur the Northern Irish rider was taken to hospital a🌼nd will undergo surgery to set the bone.
Tyco BMW have reported Reid is ‘in good spirits although is obviously devastated by the🌺 outcome of the crash’ which is likely to mark the end of his 2017 campaign.
“Our thoughts are with Andy Reid at this point,” Tyco BMW team manager Philip Neill said. “I must say the lad has impressed🅷 every time he has ridden the Tyco BMW S1000RR and this w𒊎eekend was no exception.”
It ꦍmarked a frustrating race weekend for Tyco BMW in BSB as Christian Iddon narrowly missed out on a Showdown spot after crashing out of the final race from second place. It marks the second consecutive year Tyco BMW has missed out on the BSB Showdown.
