Superstock rider Ben Godfrey dies in track day accident

National Superstock 1000 and Endurance World Championship rider Ben Godfrey has died after he was involved in a💃ccident while participating in an track day at Donington Park.
The 25-year old was ridi🉐ng in a No Limits track day at the Leicestershire circuit during the second outing in the advanced🥂 group when he collided with another rider on the run into Redgate.
Unfortunately, Godfrey sustained serious injuries in the incident and despite medical assistance he succumbed to his injur🍌ies a short time afterwards.
“I am so desperately sad that Ben died from the injuries he sustained. Ben really was a fantastic young man and friend🌄s with so many people in the paddock, he was always smiling and had time for everyone,” No 𓂃Limits director Mark Neate said in a statement.
“He was very excited for the start of the season and had taken part in many trackdays in the last month. Our thoughts are with his family, his partner Jordan and his team-mates a💝nd friends.”
In 2019 Godfrey competed in the National Superstock 1000 Championship riding a Suzuki with the Jones Dorling Racing team. He finished 15th in the ওoverall standings, scoring a best result of fourth place during at Brands Hatch.
In addition, he also participated in the Endur🧔ance World Championship Bol d’Or 24-hour and the Malaysian 8 Hours.
For 202🎃0 Godfrey had switched to the Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup where he was due to compete with the Art of Racing team
