Laser Tools Racing ha♕s confirmed it will field an independent entry with Aiden Moffat for the 2019 British Touring Car Championship.

The team had previously run in partnership with the Ciceley Motorsport squad but has split from the Mer🀅cedes A-Class team and subsequently moved its base to Scotland in order to kick off its new in-house operation.

Moffat, who claimed one victory at Silverstone on his way to a 16th-place finish in t💯he 2018 standings, said he is excited by the changes ahead of the new season.

“I’ve never felt more excited at 🃏the prospect of a new BTCC season as I do this year,” Moffat said.

“On a personal level, I’ve been concentrating on both my physical and mental fitness. I’ve neve𒊎r been more focussed and determined.”

Moffat feels a title push in 2019 is now pos𓆏sible for Racer Tools Racing following a “complete rebuild” of🌼 its A-Class challenger.

“There are also significant changes to our Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which we’ve been🔴 working on since the close of the 2018 season,” he explained.

“We’ve now moved the preparation and development of the car to our new Laser ♉Tools Racing facility.

“Yes, we’ve broken ties 🦂with Ciceley Motorsport, but they have been a great assistance with the transition.

“We have bui🔯lt an all-new facility which gives us the engineering and preparation capability together with full bodyshop and painting, which means that we can also offer customers full race car preparation and repair.

“With the changes for 2019, I’𒀰m confident that🌼 we will be real championship contenders.”
