BMW Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan says he's 'ready to refresh' after desc⛄ribing race day at Silverstone as the 'one of the weirdest days' in the Bri🎶tish Touring Car Championship.

The 2013 BTCC champion posted three top-ten finishes to remain within 17-points of championship leader Colin Turkington headi𓂃ng to the final round of the season, but has fallen to third in the driver𓄧s' standings, one point behind Honda driver Dan Cammish.

Jordan had started tꦬhe race day in strong fashion after taking 4-points out of Turkington's championship lead but was unable to outscore his nearest title riv♐als from there onwards during race two and three.

"It was a full on day,"⛄ Jordan told mahbx.com. "Uౠps and downs. We’re still in touch. It could have ended a lot worse. The day could have ended in tears for any of us. We should all be very happy with that.

"It’s all a bit of a blur really. There’s been some close racing, some hard racing. On to Brands, still in touching distance. I’m look💖ing forward to getting and trying to seal the deal."

It was during the second race at Silverstone w🐼here tempers began to flare in the title battle when Jordan and Cammish disputed track position during a safety car period.

The pair had been locked in battle prior to the safety car board but there appeared to be element of confusion as to who had been ahead 𓆏at the point of the reaching the safety car board.

With the situation escalating by the second, the pair made contact made under the saf༒ety after spending two laps side-by-side. The Honda driver went on to receive a penalty for that contact but retai🦄ned his third place finish during that race.

“He lost his head. I’ve seen the on board when he’s under the safety car. He’s losing his head. You don’t drive into people under the safetꦆy car,” said Jordan.

"Funny thing as it is, he was in the wrong. The officials have confirmed I was in front at the safety car board s♒o I should hꦛave had that position."

Nevertheless, Jordan says he should be happy witﷺh the points he managed to accrue, which has kept him in touch of winning a second title in the series.

"It is what it is♍. We scored well. It’s been a day where it could have completely gone wrong. We should be happy with that," said the former champion.

"It’s been one of the weirdest da🌞ys. It’s been one of the weirdest days in the championship. All a bit of a blur. I’m ready to refresh for Brands Hatch.

"If we could have come out on single digits on him then it would have been game on. But I lost ꦇ27-points the year I won♏ the championship so anything can happen.

"We’ll do whatever we need to do to make sure BMW come o🎐ut on top."
