Speedworks Motorsport's Tom Ingram keeps his British Touring Car Championship title hopes alive after winning the second Silverstone race in superb fashion ahead of the�🍌� Mercedes of Adam Morgan.

Ingram started🤪 the second race from 14th on the grid, but the Toyota Avensis driver produced yet another of his miraculous charges through the order to eventually score his third win of the season b𝐆y over six-seconds ahead of Morgan in second.

The Speedworks Motorsport driver pulled off a series of immaculate manoeuvres, which ultimately saw him snatch the lead away from Motorba🥂se Performance's Sam Tordoff on the 10th lap of the𒈔 race.

Ingram was able to pounce on the leading runners, who one-by-one appeare🉐d to trip over each other throughout the first half of the race.

Once in t𝐆he lead, Ingram quickly scampered away from Tordoff, who later lost his second position to Mac Tools Racing's Morgan𒊎 later in the race.

As virtuꦚe of his third win of 201♐8, Ingram has closed the gap to championship leader Colin Turkington to 36-points, after falling 50 behind following the opening race.

Tordof✱f narrowly managed to retain his spot on the podium in third, ahead of another impressive performance from Team BMW'ℱs Ricky Collard in fourth.

Matt Simpson once again completed the top-five order💃 in fifth, with Jack Goff and Aiden Moffat following closely behind in si𝓡xth and seventh.

Running the harder option tyre for race two, Team BMW's Colin Turkington was unable to match the scorching pace of his main title riva♔l Ingram, but managed to score vital points in eighth position to protect his championship lead.

Rob Austin salvaged a ninth place f🔯inish from the tail end of the grid, while🐷 Senna Proctor completed the top-ten for the Power Maxed TAG Racing Vauxhall squad.
