F1 Gossip: Bottas-Russell mid-season swap rumours are “nonsense” - Wolff

In the latest F1 gossip column, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has dismissed speculation that Valtteri Bottas will be dropped mid-season in favour of George Russell.

Earlier this week, the reported that Mercedes are losing faith ꦑwith the Finn after his stut🍰tering start to the season. 

In an interview with , Wolff dismissed the rumours as “nonsense” and believes Bottas’ performance at Portimao, where he claimed pole position, shows he has the pace to remain with the te🔴am. 

In the 🔥same interview, Wolff also sai⭕d: “Lewis Hamilton deserves to be champion because of his consistency.”
