He was w𓆉idely regarded as one of the best drivers in F1 between 2014 and 2018.

While his ✱move to Renault was a strange one in 2019, he remained one of F1’s very best, taking two podiums for the Enstone team in his second year.

He did take McLaren’s first win in nine years at the Italian Grand Prꦰix - but that remained the only high point.
