In accordance with specuܫlation doing the rounds, former Sauber pilot Nick Heidfeld will join Jord🧜an Grand Prix next month - even if it is only to conduct the Silverstone-based team's first winter test.

Jordan has taken an option on Heidfeld's services for the time being, and the 26-year old German will d📖rive on all three days of the team's first winter test in Spain early next month. Jordan will run two cars at the test - in Jerez between 3-5 December - with Czech F3000 standout Jaroslav Janis occupying the second seat for two of the three days.

"Nick is a prime candidate for a revitalised Jordan G𝓡rand Prix next year, and we are anxious for him to start getting to know the team at this stage," team boss Eddie Jordan revealed, "It is an important test as we have got a lot of new components to try, as well as vital tyre testing for Bridgestone."

While Heidfeld may be a likely choice to fill one of the two Jordan seats next season, 20-year Janis is tipped to be a leading contender in next year's FIA F3000
Championship, having already won races in the Europea🎀n series.

Jordan will have two Ford-powered EJ13s in Jerez, and at Barcelona between 20-23 January, as the all-new🎃 EJ14 is not dꦰue to be launched until the first week of February 2004.
