Williams sign new chief designer.
WilliamsF1 has confirmed the appointment of Jorg Zander as the compan🤡y's new chief design💧er.
Zander💙 joins Williams from BAR-Honda, where he held the post of chief engineওer, mechanics and transmission.
He will take up his appointment in September to 'lead 🦄the key decisions' to be taken on the development of next year's car - the FW28 - and he will work closely with all of the company's technical heads, reporting directly to technical director, Sam Mꦉichael.

Zander's appointment, according to the tea✨m, 'complements the process of restructuring of its primary technical posts' which commenced with Head's chaꩲnge in role to director of engineering and Sam Michael's ensuing appointment as technical director in 2004.
A mechanical engineering graduate of Cologne University, Zander has over fifteen years of premier motorsport experience, including WRC and GT experience with Toyota and ITC experience with Opel/GM alongside his Formula One crede♑nt🍸ials.
