“I think I was never that hyped when I came in, I didn’t win GP൩2 and I think the hype is absolutely justified,” Vettel said in the build ওup to this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix when asked for his opinion on Leclerc.

🔯“If there’s no hype around him then I don’t understand who should be hyped because If you’ve walked through all of the categories like that then you belong here. I think the advice to him is not to listen, just get on with it and enjoy it.

“The cars thaꩲt we are driving are the fastest cars in the world and that’s what you should be looking for, not all the noise that sometimes happe𝔉ns around. I think it’s important you know why you want to be here and you look what’s really important to you, the rest is not that much of your concern.”

V🉐ettel added he sees no reason to suggest Leclerc will not step up to a Ferrari seat in the future.

“I don’t see why not. Obviously he has more years than all of us here, if you look at the passport. I think the races he h⛦ad so far, he used his opportunities. He scored points in a c⭕ar that doesn’t belong in the points so he’s doing everything he can at the moment.”

Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton said he has been following Leclerc’s progress closely over the past few years and believes the 20-year-old has🍨 the potential to do “great things” in F1.

“I’ve watched the series and I’ve been watching him coming through and what he’s done in the last couple of years has been great to see,” Hamilton said. “I sit with the team bosses and engineers and we watch the lower categories and are always looking out for that shining talent to come thr𒊎ough.

“Ultimately Formula 1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of the🎃 sport, which it is, but it is supposed to have the best drivers from around the world. In all honesty you couldn’t say 100 percent that there are the best drivers from all the nations from around the world so it is really great to see a talented kid come though, who has earned his way.

“He has the potential to do great things here🍸 and you can’t say that about every person who has come through in the past years. It’s great to see a real talented kid come through so I wish him all the best.”

When asked what advice he would give to Leclerc, Hamilton replied: “The most important thing is to try and keep your feet on the ground, keep your family close ℱand just enjoy the ride, don’t take it too seriously. Every experience a⛎head is going to be a learning curve, good or bad but that’s going to be a part of the making of who you are.”
