“I was P7 and secure, because here there is no overtaking. We lost aꦓ couple of good points today,” Alonso sai⛦d.

“I 🌌don’t know exactly, something on the gearbox or something on the engine, but we lost power and we lost the sync of the ge🔜ars.”

Alonso did not mince his words when summing up the race as a whole, calling it “extremไely boring”.

“This is probably the most boring race ever, without a Safety Car, without yellow flags💖,” Alonso said.

“I think the sport needs to thi🐬nk a little bit about the show, because this is very disappointing.

“I think꧂ probably we need to give something to the fans at the end of the race to pay a little bit of their ticket back.”

All of the top six in Monaco finished where they started, with ove🧜rtakes being few and far between during the race, but Alonso believes this is not a result of t🦩he wider cars now used in F1.

“No, I think it’s just Mona🌌co. We know how it is,” Alonso said.

“We just start in our qualy positi♛on more or less and we run until the chequered flag in that position.

“𒐪Unfortunately we had the failure and we could not secure this seventh place and the points for the team, but hopefully next time we ca🍰n finish.”
