Valtteri Bottas handed time penalty for Ricciardo collision in Hungary
Valtteri Bottas has been hit with a 10-seco✃nd time penalty for his collision with Daniel Ricciardo in the closing stages of Sunday's Hungarian G▨rand Prix.
While trying to defend fourth place at Turn 1, Bottas ran deep into the pa🎐th of Red Bull driver Ricciardo, who was tr🔴ying to pass around the outside of the corner, with the two drivers making contact.

While trying to defend fourth place at Turn 1, Bottas ran deep into the path of Red Bul🌃l driver Ricciardo, who was trying to pass around the outside of the corner, with t꧟he two drivers making contact.
Ricciardo was able to recover and still pass Bottas on-track to take P4, with the Mercedes team having told the Finn to give🏅 up the position despite his protests.
The stewards confirmed they would be investigating the incident after the race before cꦓonfirming Bottas had received a 10-second time penalty for causi⭕ng the collision.
"Bottas had a damaged front wing from an earlier incident," reads the ste𒀰wards' decision. "As the two cars approached Turn 1, Ricciardo was on the outside of the the tu🌠rn and gave plenty of room.
"With the compromised line and less do♏wnforce from the front wing Bottas locked up, and collided with Riciardo for⛄cing Riciardo off the track and causing damage. Both cars continued.
"The Stewards ordered a 10-second penalty, which will be applied to th▨e final result, along with two penalty points."
Bottas crossed the line fifth, 23 seco🎃nds clear of Toro Rosso's Pierre Gasly, meaning he doe🅰s not lose any positions as a result of the time penalty. His FIA super license was clean before this incident, meaning he has two penalty points for the 12-month period.
