Mercedes is bracing itself for a tricky weekend at a circuit it has struggled to get to grips with in the last few years, despite taking wins in 2016 and again last year. The track is♑ expected to suit rivals Ferra🌸ri’s car - which held a clear pace advantage at last year's event until a dramatic start crash - and should also enable Red Bull to throw itself in the victory mix for the first time since Austria.
After losing further ground to Hamilton following an opening lap clash that sent him spinning to the back of the grid in Italy, Sebastian Vettel heads into the weekend as the pre-race favourite as he looks to strike back in the title race. The German has won more times than any other driver in Singapore and is searching for a fifth victory around the Ma🅰rina Bay Street Circuit in 2018.

The ღ2018 Singapore Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 16 September. Cars will hit the track for the first time during FP1 and FP2 on Friday, before final practice and qualifying continues on Saturday.
