Correa joins Alfa Romeo as F1 development driver

Juan Manuel Correa has been named as a development driver for the Alfa Romeo Fo🌱rmula 1 team during the 2019 season. 

The 19-year-old American will combine his new role alongside a maiden campaign in the Formula 2 championship with the Charouz-run Sauber Junior Team.

Dཧriving for Jenzer Motorsport in GP3 last season, Correa finished 12th in the standings having scored 42 points, scoring a best result of fourth in Barcelona.

Juan Manuel Correa has been named as a development driver for the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team 𒉰during the 2019 se꧋ason. 

The 19-year-old American will combine his new role alongside a maiden campaign in the Formula 2 championship with the Charouz-run Sauber Junior Team.

“To have received this opportunity, and to be a part of such an iconic team 𒁃and brand in motorsports, Formula 1 in particular, is a privilege for any driver,” said Correa. 

“I will do my best to honor the opportunity I﷽ have been given and want to thank Fred [Vasseur] and the entire Alfa Romero Racing Team for having me. I’m excited for what the future has to hold.”

In the role, Correa joins fellow F2 driver and Tatiana Calderon, who wℱill continue to carry out work for Alfa Romeo in a similar role through𒅌out 2019.
