Asked what had caused his💎 spin, the Finn joked: “I ran out of talent.
“With the new tyres, they are shining and it was a bit slippery in the first corner. I was just caught out.”
Alfa Romeo’s running was severely hampered after water leaks were discovered on both cars in 🍃FP2.
While Antonio Giovinazzi’s car was fixed in time for h𒀰im to return to the track and complete 10 laps,&nb💟sp;Raikkonen was left garage-bound for much of the session and was restricted to just six tours.
“That was obviously not the plan but what can you do?” Raikkonen said.&n𝓡bs🔯p;
“Unforℱtunately, we had a leak in the cooling 𝔍system and they almost got it back together, but it was too late.”
The issues prevented either Alfa Romeo driver from co🐎mpleting flying laps in conditions si🃏milar to those to come in qualifying - with FP2 taking place under the lights - but Raikkonen is confident the lack of running will not effect the team too much.
“It’s hard to say [where we are] b꧟ecause we didn’t put the second run togethe❀r,” he explained.
“Even the first one, the car felt very good but I didn’t manage a very good lap, so it will be a bit more unknown than if we would have ✃run.
“It w🦩ould be a bit easier to say but I don’t think it’s an awfully different pict𝐆ure than what we had in the last race.
“It will be very close and if we get good ☂laps in then🌳 they’ll give you a very good result. We’ll see after tomorrow.”
