However, Hamilton stressed after his victory that the team was not getting 🌠complacent or comfortable with the championship outlook, believing the threat from Ferrari to remain as strong as ever.

“I think as a team, we’re not going to get ahe༒ad of ourselves, and we’re naturally going toไ continue to get our heads down and keep working,” Hamilton said.

“We’ve got another close battle on our hands. The Red Bulls, I don’t know where they were today oꦇr this weekend, but I know the Ferraris are right there. I think we’ve got races that are coming up that could p🌺otentially suit them more, who knows.

“We didn’t expect to have the deficit in Melbourne, and we didn’t expect to have the deficit in the last race, and we didn’t ෴expect this weekend to have a bit of an advantage that we have here. It’s still up in the air.

“I think ultim👍ately as a team we’ve p🐼erformed collectively together, we’ve really delivered on the weekends, and we’ve just got to continue to do so.”

Mercedes arrived in China anticipating Ferrari to be the team to beat given its straight-line speed advantage, but managed to overhaul the deficit through the corners at t🎃he Shanghai International Circuit.

“I’ve not really looked intoও detail why they weren’t as quick,” Hamilton said of Ferrari.

“They were quick on the straights, they were gaining something like four-tenths on the straights overall, but they were losing in th💝e🍷 corners.

“I think it’ll be interesting to see how long they keep that strategy. At some places, it will be great, li🐻ke probably the next race is going to be really good for them in that respect. But then in others, mayb♚e not so much.”
