Formula 1 heads to the Circuit of the Americas in Te𒐪xas this weekend for the United States Grand Prix, round 19 of the 2019 season.
It is a weekend that could see the coron🀅ation of the 2019 F1 world champion, with Lewis Hamilton standing on the verge of becoming a six-time world champion.
The Briton holds a 74-point advantage over Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas and just needs to score four points in Sunday's race to claim the 2019 drivers' crown, which would mark h🐈is second championship triumph at the Au🐈stin venue.
Hamilton has won 10 times already this season and has an enviable record at the Circuit of the Americas, having taken victory in all but two of the seven grands prix held in Texas since the race was added to the F1 calendar in 2012. He also has more victories in the United States than any other driver with six in total, including his 2007 win when the race was held in Indianﷺiapolis.
After three consecutive defeats, Ferrari will be keen to return to winning ways in ༒Austin. The Scuderia has taken six straight pole positions in a resurgence of form since the summer break but has not been able to convert pole into victory since September's Singapore Grand Prix.
Ferrari won last year's race aꦯt COTA as Kimi Raikkonen ended his 113-race victory drought and the Italian squad will be confident of challenging again this time around, given its strong performan𒁏ces in the second half of the campaign.
The on-track action gets und𝓰erway with the opening 90-minute pracꦅtice session on Friday at 1100 local time (1600 GMT), before second practice gets underway at 1500 hours local (2000 GMT).
