F1 Italian GP red-flagged due to big Leclerc crash
The Italian Grand Prix has beꦦen red-flagged due to a big crash for Charles Leclerc, as Ferrari failed to finish its home Formula 1 race.
Leclerc lost control of his SF1000 at the high-speed Parabolica and speared into the barriers on the exit of the corners a♋fter his car snapped.
The impact caused extensive 🦹dam🦄age to Leclerc’s car and also damaged the tyre barriers, resulting in the race being stopped after 27 laps of running of the 53 scheduled.
Leclerc walked away from the incident unscathed but joined his teammate S🌞ebastian Vettel on the sidelines as Ferrari recorded a double DNF at Monza.
Ferrari has📖 since confirmed that Leclerc has been cleared and released from the medical cent꧃re following his crash.
Vettel suffered a brake failure at Turn 1 an💯d ran straight on at the first corner, before peeling into the pits and into retirement.
It is the first time the Italian Grand Prix has been r🌌ed-flagged since 1995.
