Sergio Perez already working on “some good ideas” with Red Bull for F1 2021

Sergio Perez says he is already working with Red Bull on “some good ideas” he believes can help improve the 💞Formula 1 team heading into the upcomiꦰng 2021 season.
The Mexican has been drafted in to Red Bull’s line-up as a replacement for the underperforming Alex Albon following an outstanding 2020 campaign in which he claimed a shock maiden grand prix victory and finished 𒁃fourth in the drivers’ championship.
Perez recently visited Red Bull’s Milt𒈔on Keynes headquarters for the first time and has been getting accustomed to his new surroundings ahead of the new season. He completed a seat fit, met members of his engineering crew and has a𝓰lready driven the RB16 car on the simulator.
After getting an initial impression of how Red Bull op🍌erates, the 30-year-old has suggested some ideꦉas to help the team make a step forward in 2021.
"I've been in the sport in different teams and in different eras," Perez said in his first video i🀅nterview since arriving at Red Bull.
"I think I know what I need from myself, but I also feel that I can push the teamཧ forwards in certain areas, just by talꦿking to the team.
"I think we know the direction. Obviously I have to wait and drive the car, but there's already some good ideas that we've been sharing with the team, that hopefully can bring some performance on ♚track.”
Having spent seven years at Forꦑce India/Racing Point, Perez said the move to Red Bull has left him feeling like a “dog finding a new family”.
“In a way very different to the teams that I worked for, the organisatio𝕴n is tremendously high, a lot of people and the resources that are here are ✤very impressive,” he explained.
“I can’t wait to get on track with my group of people. Obviously I've been seven years with a team so it feels a bit difꦿferent. It's like a dog finding a new family. You’ve been with a family for so many years and you're used to seeing them and then all of a sudden you are changing.
“But I have to say, I'm starting𝕴 to feel very comfortable here. It's a fantastic team, very united, and I can see that there's a lot of fun ahead of us.
“It’s just a dream come true working with Adrian [Newey], with the amount of engineers. And the level of engineering inside this team is very impressiv🃏e.”
