Verstappen leaves hospital after 51G shunt in F1 British GP

Max Verstappen has been discharged from hospital after getting the all-clear following his huge 51G crash at Formula 1’s British Grand Prix.

The Red Bull driver suffered an enormous high-speed crash at Copse after tangling with world ⛄championship rival Lewis Hamilton as they battled for the lead on the first lap of Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

Verstappen was able to walk away from the scene of his destroyed Red Bull car bu🌜t🍌 appeared to be badly winded.

Afte𓆉r an initial inspection at Silverstone’s medical centre, Verstappen was transferred to hospital in Coventry for further precautionary checks after he had complained of dizziness.

mahbx.com understands Verstappen w🌳as cleared in all checks including for concussion and also avoided injuries to his legs. 

After the race, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said that Verstappen had “retained consciousness at all times” and was “battered and bruised” following the biggest accident of his c💯areer.

On Sunday evening, Verstappen posted an update confirming he had been given the green light to leavಌe hospital.

“Cleared from the hospital after all the 🌳checks were ok,” he wrote on꧙ social media.

In a team statement, Red Bull said: “We are pleased to confirm that Max was𒁏 released from hospital at 22:00 this evening, following a thorough medical examination, without any major injuries. 

“Max and the Team would like to thank the trackside Marshalls and m🅘edical staff for their exceptional care both on-site at Silverstone and at Coventry Hospital.”

Verstappen had earlier accused Hamilton of being “disres🌠pectful” and “unsportsmanlike” in the manner he celebrated his eighth British Grand Prix victory.

Hamil🅷ton’s fourth win of the season has reduced Verstappen’s championship lead down to eight points after the opening 10 races.
