Mick Schumacher completes Silverstone run in father’s famous Jordan 191 F1 car
On Tuesday at Silverstone, the Haas rookie got the chance to get behind the wheel oꦛf the iconic Jordan 191 made famous by his father when he made his F1 debut at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix.
Schumacher made an instant impression on the F1 paddock when he g🐓ot an unexpected call up to replace Jordan regular Bertrand Gachot - who was imprisoned for assaulting a London taxi driv🐽er mid-way through the 1991 season - at Spa-Francorchamps, despite having only driven an F1 car for the first time just days before the race.
The future world champion qualified a stunning seventh - four places ahead of teammate Andrea de Cesaris - for his F1 debut and was running in sixth place when his clutch failed moments after passing Eau Rouge on the opening lap, causing him to🐻 r𓃲etire.
But Schumacher had made his mark as the hottest property in F1 and was subsequ✤ently snapped up by Benetton for the remaining five races of the season. The rest, as they say, is history.

30 years later, his 22-year-old son Mick, got thꦜe chance to sample the car around Silverstone two days after finishing 18th at the British Grand Prix.
Schumacher shared the 191 with Karun Chandhok for a special Sky Sports F1 🌳feature that will be broadcast during its coverage of next month’s Belgian Grand Prix.
