The fallout from the first-lap crash involving Hamilton and Verstappen at the British Grand Prix has dominated the headlines over the past two weeks and has remained the major talking point heading into ꦜthe Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hamilton led a Mercedes front-r꧒ow lockout in qualifying at the Hungaroring as he charged to his 101st p🐻ole position in F1, with Verstappen consigned to third place and the second row of the grid.

But when asked about the potential for more drama heading into Turn 1 in Sunday’s race, Verstap🐈pen responded angrily as he blas𒉰ted continued “ridiculous” questions in the aftermath of the Silverstone clash.

“Can we already stop about this? Because have had so many fucking questions൩ about this, it’s just ridiculous,” the Dutchman said.

“The whole Thursday we have been answering this stupid shit aꦉll the time, so can we just stop please? We are racers, so of course we will r𝄹ace hard but fair. We just keep pushing each other.”

Verstappen ended up over four-tenths of a second adrift of Hamilton in the pole shootout and failed to better▨ his fastest la♓p from Q2.

“Well basically I went a bit backwards compared to my Q2,” he said. “Just didn’t have the same grip over the lap, I don’t know if it was track related or tyre related but just fight🐎 have the same balance in the car to push.

“Naturally around here the corners follow up really quickl♔y, so if you don’t feel good in one cor🅷ner the next won’t be great. Just lost a bit of lap time but nevertheless, I don’t think even with that we could have had pole.

“Not the greatest weekend so𓆏 far, I think in general we’ve been a bit behind and we just need to a🌼nalyse why that is.

“I think Silverstone we were quite strong, I know they brought new bits again to the car, so we just need to work on ourselves and 🧸try to improve the situation, because of course, we cannot be happy with this.”
