Lando Norris having x-ray after scary Belgian GP qualifying shunt

McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has been taken to hospital for a precautionary x-ray of his elbow following his scary crash in Belgian Grand Prix qualifying.

Norris lost control on his first flying lap of Q3 in wet conditions as he approached Eau Rouge, befo⛦re having a violent hit witಞh the barriers and eventually coming to rest at the top of the hill following several spins.

The Briton reported he was okay over team radio and climbed out of his wr🥂ecked McLaren car but was seen holding his elbow as he walked away from the scene of his accident.

In an update after qualifying had finished, McLaren confirmed Nor🔜ris was seen at the trackside medical centre before being sent to a loca✨l hospital for a “precautionary” x-ray to check his elbow.

Q3 was immediately red-flagged after Norris’ crash and the session𓂃 was stopped for over half an hour 🔴while a clean-up operation took place.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen denied George Russell a maiden F1 pole in a dramatic end to quali�𝔍�fying once Q3 restarted.

Norris appeared on course to land a great result for McLaren havin💧g set the fastest time in both Q1 and Q2🍒. He was officially classified 10th in Q3.
