Sergio Sette Camara has mo𒅌ved to DAMS for the 2019 Formula 2 championship as he dovetails his efforts as McLaren test and development driver🦩 in Formula 1.

The Brazilian driver enjoyed a solid second season in ꧃F2 this year ending the campaign sixth place in the drivers’ standings wit👍h eight podiums and one pole position to his name.

Having signed with 💃McLaren to become its F1 test driver for 2019, and will act as understudy to former teammate Lando Norris plus Carlos Sainz Jr, Sette Camara will move to French squad DAMS as he targets climbing the F2 ranks next year.

“I’m really gladౠ to join DAMS for 2019. The team is extremely well prepared, which I’ve seen first-hand when I went to the workshop and during the Abu Dhabi test,” S༺ette Camara said. “Through my career DAMS has always been a reference in Formula 2 and GP2 before that.

“It has had plenty of success across the various series it has competed in. I already know many of the squad members, especially the F2 depa🌳rtment who made me feel really comfortable. It’s very satisfying when you go to a team and feel so welcome. I am looking forward to 2019, and believe we wilꦍl have an excellent season.”

Sette Camara completes DAMS’ driver line-up in F2 joining the already announced Nicholas Latifi who will combine his efforts as tes𝄹t F1 driver at Williams in 2019.
