Renault F1 junior Aitken switches to Campos for 2019 F2 season
Renault Formula 1 reserve driver Jack Aitken will switch to Campos Racing for his sophomore F🌞ormula 2 campa๊ign in 2019.
The 23-year-old Briton struggled to match ART🍸 Grand Prix teammate and eventual champion George Russell as he finished 11th in the 2018 standings, though he did manage a🃏 breakthrough victory at the sprint race in Barcelona following on from his maiden podium in Baku.

The 23-year-old Briton struggled to match ART Grand Prix teammate and eventual champion George Russell as he f𒊎inished 11th in the 2018 standings, though he did manage a breakthrough victory at the sprin🐼t race in Barcelona following on from his maiden podium in Baku.
ART announced a new driver line-up consisting of GP3 runner-up Nikita Mazepin and Nick de Vries for 2019, prompting Aitken to makꦑe the move to Campos, filling the first sea♕t at the Spanish squad he drove for during post-season testing in Abu Dhabi.
“I’m extremely excited to start working with Campos after a pro🍰mising start in post-season testing,” said Aitken.
“They have the ambition and ability to compete at the very top, and although there’s ♐plenty of work to be done I’m confident we’ll be up to it come Round 1. We are aiming for the top, nothing ꧟less."
Aitken won two Formula Renault titles in 2015 before stepping up to GP3 with Arden in 2016. He finished fifth in the standings before impro🎉ving to second behind ART teammate Russell in 🐼2017.
