Luca Ghiotto has claimed his maiden Formula 2 feature victory after seeing off Nicholas Latifi at S𒁃ilverstone, with championship leader Nyck de Vries fading late on to sixth place.

Ghiotto produced the perfect getaway to take the lead from pole-sitting UNI-Virtuosi Racing teammate G✨uanyu Zhou as Latifi also gained a place at th💯e start to take third off of DAMS teammate Sergio Sette Camara.

Luca Ghiotto has claimed his maiden Formula 2 feature victory after seeing off Nicholas Latifi at Silverstone, wi𒆙th championship leader Nyck de🌃 Vries fading late on to sixth place.

Ghiotto produced the perfect getaway to take the lead from pole-sitting UNI-Virt𓆉uosi Racing teammate Guanyu Zhou as Latifi also gained a place at the start to take third off of DAMS teammate Sergio Set𓆏te Camara.

With Latifi pitting a lap earlier than the leader, the Wil🎀liams Formula 1 reserve driver used his up to temperature tyres to power past the Italian at Brooklands with Ghiotto struggling for grip ⛄on cold rubber.

The pair also survived contact at Copse corner battling for the lead before the Virtuosi driver rediscovere💫d his rhythm to charge past the Canadian driver with a decisive overtake up the inside at Stowe on Lap 11.

With clean air aꦯhead of him, Ghiotto prod💟uced a series of fastest laps to pull out a three-second buffer to take victory with Latifi in second place.

But the runner-up result sees Latifi take 10 points out of de Vries’s championship lead, which now stands at 🧸27 points ahead o🅘f the Silverstone sprint race.

Zhou completed the podium, taking🍌 his fourth rostrum of the year comfortably ahead of Sette Camara in fourth 🍃place.

Jack Aitken pulled off a late attacℱk on de Vries to take fifth spot, while further back Louis Deletraz grabbed seventh ahead of Callum Ilott i🐷n eighth and Nobuharu Matsushita in ninth.

Jordan King took the final point in 10th place, fending off Mick Schumacher🔴 late on, who was the sole Prema Racing entry to start the race after Sean Gelael pulled out of the weekend due to personal issues.
