Formula Renault 2.0 Alps runner-up Charles Leclerc has signed for Van Amersfoort Rꦬacing for this season's FIA Formula 3 European Championship.

The 17-year-old impressed while testing with his new team in December and said 🃏he is joining the best series for young drivers to dev๊elop in.

"This series is just the best for a young driver who want to learn as much as possible and improve. Van Amersfoort are extremely experienced and have already secu💝red several successes."

T♌he Monegasque driver only switched into single-seat car racing from kartin♏g last year and finished a creditable second in his debut Formula Renault 2.0 Alps season, taking two victories and one pole position.
