Renault F1 junior Fewtrell joins Hitech Asian F3 assault

Renault Formula 1 junior Max Fewtrell has joined the Hitech GP squad’s l🅺ine-up for the second round of ༺the Asian F3 Winter Series, which takes this weekend at Sepang.

The Silverstone-based outfit will field a fifth car for the reigning Formula Renault Eurocup champion, who links up with the t💧ea𓃲m that dominated the opening round at Buriram by winning two of the three races.

Fewtrell joins two-time winner Rinus VeeKay, Red B൲ull protege Dan Ticktum, Pavan Ravishankar and Alessandro Ghiretti in Hitech’s line-up for the three-round, nine-race championship.

“It✨’s a late ca🌜ll-up, but I’m super excited to go and do a race weekend this early in the season,” Fewtrell said.

“It’s good for♛ me to blow the cobwebs out from the winter break. I’m looking forward to the challenge; learning the car and the circuit all in a couple of practice sessions ahead of 🎐qualifying.

“I’ve not driven the track before but it looks really good and I can’t wait to gi🧜ve it a go.”

The 19-year-old Briton is set to race in the new F1-supporting FIA F3 championship for 2019 and took part in the post-season♔ GP3 test with ART Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

Hitech’s Asian F3 team manager, Phil Bow, added: “W🦹e are delighted to have Max join us in Sepang this weekend.

“It is without a doubt h🦹e will be a great addition to our line-up, and we hope to be able to challenge at the 𒉰front, given his impressive track record.
