Abt stripped of maiden Formula E victory, Audi intends to appeal

Abt snatched his first win in Formula E after a late spin for Edoardo Mortar෴a, only for both his cars to be reviewed by the stewards after the race and be deemed outside of t𒉰he technical regulations.

Abt snatched his first win in Formula E after a late spin for Edoardo Mortara, only for both his cars to be reviewed b✃y the stewards after the race and be deemed outside of the technical regulations.

"The FIA security stickers (barcodes) on the inverter and MGU units did not correspond with those declꦺared on the Technical Passport provided by the competi♒tor Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler for the event," reads a statement from the FIA stewards.

As a result, Abt was disqualified from the race, making Felix Rosenqvist the new race wi🌊nner f🌳or Mahindra.

Mortara moves up to secoဣnd, while Jaguar claims its first Formula E podium through Mitch Evans in third place.

Audi confirmed in the h🎶ours following the race it i🌟ntends to appeal the decision.

"It has been a bittersweet end to the day because afterwards in the technical inspection, FIA, the organising and ruling body, they found there was a discrepancy in the numbers on a couple of parts of the▨ car," Audi Formula E chief Allan McNish said.

"So now we have taken the view and tak☂en the intent to appeal the process. That is the situation as we speak and finish up here in Hong Kong."

Audi will decide in the next two-to-three days whether or not it will go thr🐼ough with its intention to appeal.
