Formula E has formally unveiled i🔴ts new car at the Geneva Motor Show ahead of the 2018/19 season following its ꦐrender launch at the end of January.

Formula ♒E will introduce a new car for its fifth season that will be capable of completing a full race distance on a single charge, removing the car swaps that have been ♎in place since the championship's inaugural race in 2014.

Renders of the 'Gen2'🐷 Formula E car were released a🙈t the end of January and received positive feedback due to the car's radical design that also incorporated the Halo cockpit protection device.

The covers 🅰were officially taken off the new car at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, with the teams set to complete their first on-track testing in the coming months.

"This is the first t🍃i🐻me I’ve seen the complete car in the flesh and it’s even more sleek and spectacular up close," Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag said.

"If you were to draw a racing car from scratch and base it purely on its looks, you’d come up with just this design. Not only is it striking on the eye, the pe🌟rformance and range show clear progress in terms of technological development in only four years.

"I’d like to expr🍎ess my personal thanks to the FIA and its President Jean Todt, for their hard work and support in putting together and designing our Gen2 car. This model visually differentiates Formula E from any other single-seater in motorsport today. When people see this car they will say it’s Formula E, it’s the future."

The new Gen2 Formula E car will make its♈ race debut at the opening round of Season 5, set to take place in December 2018.
