Dragon retains Lopez for 2018/19 Formula E season
Jose Maria Lopez will 🐎once again race for the Dragon Formula E squad during the 2018/19 campaign.
Lopez, a triple World Touring Car champion, 🌠scored 14 points as he finished 17th in the drivers' standings last season in what was his second year with the American squad.
He made his Formula E debut with Virgin in season three but switched to Dragon as Neel Jani's replacement fol♊lowing the 2017/18 Hong Kong opener.

"I am really exc🧜ited to continue with the team and I am looking forward to being on the track to achieve our objectives," said Lopez.
"The atmosphere is great. The team has evolved so much since I joined last year, and now we have the new Gen 2 car, so we are starting fresh, and I ca꧃n’t🌜 wait to be on track with the team for the first race in Riyadh.
"The team has put in an incredible effort during this, and I am looking forward to workin༒g with them to keep improving and evolving throughout the season."
Dragon team owner Jay Penske added: “José showed a lot of promise in Season 4 and has been an invaluable asset in thඣe development of the package for Season 5.
"He is a real racer, and I am confident that🔯 his capabilities, paired with the evolution of our engineering organization will prove to be a winning formula this season. I look forward to seeing the results.”
Dragon is yet to announc꧂e who will partner the Argentinian in season five, thougﷺh the team's test and reserve driver and Formula 2 racer Maximilian Gunther has been linked with the second seat.
