Porsche confirms Neel Jani in first Formula E seat for Season 6

Porsch🌄e has confirmed Neel Jani will rac🔯e for its works FIA Formula E team upon its entry to the all-electric championship in late 2019.

Jani has been a long-standing member of Porsche's factory driver line-up, racing for its LMP1 tea🌺m between 2014 and 2017. The Swiss racer won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, as wel🦋l as taking the FIA World Endurance Championship title in the same year.

Porsche has confirmed🦩 Neel Jani will race fꦗor its works FIA Formula E team upon its entry to the all-electric championship in late 2019.

Jani signed to race for Dragon Racing in Formula E last season, only to quit the team after 👍the opening round in Hong Kong, but will return to the series next year after being nam🎃ed as Porsche's first driver.

"I’m very much looking🔜 forward to the new task. Being part of an entirely new Porsche Motorsport programme fo𝓀r the second time, right from the beginning, means a lot to me," Jani said.

"The technical and driving challenges are huge and our strong Formula E opponents have a signi𝔍ficant advantage ꦯin experience. There is a lot of work ahead of us and I can’t wait for the roll-out."

“Not only does he contr🌃ibute speed, but he has a huge amount of single-seater experience. He has already driven in Formula E and is well established in Weissach as a development driver."

Porsche is set to begin running its new Formula E car in March 2019 ahead of its racing debut in the clos๊ing stages of the year.
