Oliver Rowland scores maiden Formula E pole in Sanya qualifying

Oliver Rowland charged to his first pole position in Formula E after topping the f🀅inal Super Pole shootout in qualifying for the San💝ya E-Prix on Saturday afternoon, edging out reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne.

After impressing last 🌟time out in Hong Kong by qualifying second, Nissan e.dams driver Rowland was able to go one better in Sanya💙 by grabbing pole by one-tenth of a second.

Oliver Rowland charged to his first pole position in Formula E after topping the final Super Pole shootout in qual✱ifying for the Sanya E-Prix on Saturday 🍨afternoon, edging out reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne.

After i⭕mpressing last time out in Hong Kong by qualifying second, Nissan e.dams driver Rowland was able to go one better in Sanya by grabbing pole by one-tenth of a seco𓂃nd.

Rowland sat fourth in the initial qual🥂ifying heats, but was able to become the sixth different pol༒e-sitter in six races with a best lap time of 1m07.945s in the final shootout.

Vergne took second for DS Techeetah ahead of BMW's Antonio Felix da Costa and Audi driver Daniel Abt, while Seba🔜stien Buemi ended up fifth in the sister N👍issan entry after locking up at Turn 3 and sliding into the wall, ending his hopes of taking pole.

Alexander Sims could take no part in Super Pole due to an issue, leaving him sixth overal🎀l.

Andre Lotterer missed out on a place in Super Pole by 🌳one-thousandth of a second in P7 ahead of the Mahindra duo of Jerome d'Ambrosio and Pꦺascal Wehrlein. Lucas di Grassi completed the top 10 for Audi.
