Having progressed into Superpole from g🦂roup three, Cassidy’s 1m09.338s proved to be untouchable.

Two-time Formula E ﷽champion Jean-Eric Vergne got closest with a 1m09.499s, just ahead of Mahindra’s Alex Lynn in third.

Maximilian Gunther was fourth ahead of Sebastien Buemi, who toppꦍed group qual🍌ifying.

Remarkably, it is only Buemi’s second Superpole appearance of thꦡe season, benefitting from the best track conditions possible in group four.

Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein completed the toꦛp siജx as the final Superpole participant.

Lucas di Grassi was in contention to mak✱e the pole position shootout but dropped out at Buemi’s expen🍸se with the Brazilian set to start from seventh.

Oliver Rowland, Alexander Sims and Andre Lotterer✨ rounded out the top ten in New York.

Rowland is under investigation after he crashed into the back of Sam Bird du♎ring group two - the session was briefly red-flagged before it got back underway with all six cars involved.

Robin Frijns couldn’t match🧸 his teammate’s efforts and will start 11th, jus🌺t ahead of Sergio Sette Camara in 12th.

Mercedes endured another poor quaജlifying performance with its cars set to start from 1﷽8th and 21st.

Stoffel Vandoorne would have likely made it into Superpole had it not been for a mistake in🍨 the final sector on his lap, costing him over a second in terms💫 of lap time.

It was a disastrous 🤡qualifying session for championship leader Edoardo Mortౠara, who is set to start from 24th on the grid.

Shortly after the first qualifying group, Venturi team principal Susie Wolff confirmed that Mortara didn’t have full pow☂er on his qualifying lap.

Due to how slow Mortara was circulating on his qualif♛ying lap, he’s under i༒nvestigation for impeding Rene Rast, who will start one place ahead in 23rd.
