Askew to make Formula E debut with Andretti in season eight

Formula E’s new season kicks off next🌳 week with pre-season testing in Valencia ahead of the opening round in Saudi Arabia at the end of January.
Ask𒈔ew is the late🧸st driver to be confirmed with the American completing Andretti’s driver line-up for the new season.
He won t𒅌he Indy Lights title with Andretti before moving up to the main IndyCa𝓰r series with Arrow McLaren SP in 2020.
Askew becomes the first American▨ to dr🥀ive in Formula E since Scott Speed in 2015.
The 24-year-old repla🌟ces Maximilian Guenther, who joined Nissan e.dams.
“I am beyond excited to return home and join Andretti Autosport full time again for the 2022 🎉ABB FIA Formula E championship,” Askew said. “I consider Andretti Autosport family and to be able to attack this chapter in my career with them means more than words can describe.

Team principal Rodger Griffiths added: “We know Oliver well from his success with us in Indy Lights but now he tackles a very different challenge; however, from what we have already seen with his work ethic and dedication, w♍e expect great things from him. His first chance to demonstrate this will be in Valencia in j🅺ust a few days’ time, a track where the team already has shown strong pace in testing in previous years and of course Jake’s win last season!”
