The chequered flag isᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ out and that brings Friday's practice running to a close.
Oscar Piastri led a McLaren 1-2 ahead of teammate Lando Norris, with Pierre Gasly starring in a su🐷rprise P3 for Alpine.
George Russe𝔍ll and Max Ver✨stappen were fourth and fifth fastest respectively for Mercedes and Red Bull.
Another late red flag in Friday practice, wh🐬ich has been causeꦅd by Isack Hadjar getting stuck on the edge of the circuit.
The Frenchman had a big spin coming out of Turn 3 and hit the wall, but was able to recover from the scene of the incident. He got goi🎀ng again and looked to 🎉rejoin the circuit, but as he tried to get out of the grass, his Racing Bulls got beached.
Kimi Antonelli has slammed Yuki Tsunoda after aꦉ near-miss with the Red Bull driver ruins his latest l♛ap. Tsunoda was in the middle of the race track and on a cool down lap at the time.
"That was super dangerous from the Red B🐲ull!" Antonelli bemo🍸aned over team radio.
Ferrari have been checking Lewis Hamilton's brakes afterඣ his complaints over team radio.
"They have actually decided to take the brakes apart, do some checks and do whatever they can short of actually changing the discs or theܫ pads, which they are not doing. They have finished that job now and the tyres are going back on the car for the long runs," reports Sky Sports F1's🍷 Ted Kravitz."
With 20 minutes or so left in FP1, most of the 𝓀field are switching onto medium tyres as the focus switches to conducting some long running and race prep.
Lewis Hamilton has come over the radꦡio to bemoan his brakes.
"These damn brakes mate. Urgh, these brakes are a problem," he reports durꦅing his first lap on soft tyres.
The seven-time world champion clearly does not feel co🎉mfortable in his Ferrari and is only ninth in the order with less than 30 minutes remaining.
Wow, some impressive laps from the Mc♏Laren pair who go first and second.
Oscar Piastri lays down a marker with a 1m15.293s to ed🍌ge out teammate Land🅰o Norris by just 0.025s.
The McLarens are nearly three tenths clear of Alpine's Pierre Gasly, who 🌳has produced a great lap to pop himself into third place.
Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda are next to set laps on the soft tyre, with Verstappen slotting into P2 and jus🎉t 0.042s behind George Russell.
Tsun𒐪oda went third but has since been demoted to P5 as others improve.
George Rus🍌sell is the first driver onto the softs and he goes fastest with a 1m15.693s in🥀 his Mercedes. That's 0.259s quicker than the time McLaren's Lando Norris managed on mediums a little while back.
Lewis Hamilton is currently down in 12th but has had a frust🔯rating couple of laps where he encountered traffic.
On one lap, he was b✨locked twice in the space of a few corners. Firstly ♔he came across a slow-moving Sauber, before getting stuck behind one of the Red Bulls.
There are no penalties for such infringements in free practice, but that would be a differ꧂ent story in qualifying. Traffic will be a factor for the teams to consider during those all-impoᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚrtant qualifying runs on Saturday.
The Williams pair of Carlos Sainz and ඣAlex Albon rocket 𝄹up to P2 and P3.
Sainz and Albon had actually briefly made it a Williams 1-2, before Lando Norris immediately usurped the blue cars to put hꦏis McLaren back on top of the timesheet by just 0.040s.
For the second time today, Fernando Alons🐓o is left rueing traffic.&nbไsp;
In FP1 he was blocked by Charles Leclerc's Ferrari, while in FP2 it was Franco Col꧑apinto's Alpine.
Colapinto was right in the middle of the road at Turn 1 as Al꧃onso arriv💝ed on the scene much faster and had to slam on the brakes and take evasive action to avoid hitting the Alpine debutant.
"I nearly crashed," Alonso says over team radio.&🍸nbsp;
The first lap times are coming in and it is Lando Norrꦜis who is quickest inಞ the early stages.
It's a 1m16.074s for Norris which sees him sit top by 0.345♑s from Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who splits the McLarens in P3, with Oscar Piastri a tenth further back in third.
Carlos Sainz has picked up a €1000 fine for speeding in the pit lane during first practice. 🃏The Williams driver went 13.7kph (8𒅌.51mph) over the 80kph speed limit.
We are u♛nderway for the second hour-long practice session at Imola♛ as a handful of drivers head straight out on circuit.
Another hour of practice is coming up from Imola at 📖4-5pm BSℱT.
Expect to see teams carrying out a mixtur🙈e of short and long runs during FP2 as they continue to dial their cars ahead of qualifying and Sunday's grand prix.
It was an incredibly close FP1 with less tꦚhan a tenth splitting the top-five. Will it remain that tight this afternoon?🐼
Ferrari and Charles Leclerc 🍰could be in trouble over an alleged tyre infringement during ꧟opening practice at Imola.
It has emerged that Ferrari adjusted Leclerc's tyre pressures for the same set o🍸f tyres, which contravenes the regulations. The incident has been referred to the stewards for further consideration൩.
FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer noted: "During free practi🐷ce session 1, it was noticed that the LHS and RHS front tyre pressure of Set 16602 on Car 16 was altered after a run, whilst the car was stationary in the garage and before going out for another run using the same set.
"This adjustment was not ca🦋rried out in accordance with the🍒 procedures set out in TD003Q 2. g. ii.."
There is precedence for this, with Mercedes receiving a fine for the same infringement 🥃at last year's Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Andrea Stella says he hopes McLaren’s F1 rivals continue to focus on the wrong things by creating “sag𒁃as” regarding the performance of his team.
A dominant start to the 2025 season from the reigning world champions has raised suspicion among rivals that McLaren could be using unt🐼oward tactics to boost their competi🔯tiveness.
Specifically, ℱaccusations have been levelled at McLaren suggesting they have been illegally using water to cool their tyres and help keep them in an ideal operating window during races. McLaren have also faced claims about flexi-wings.
Following the Miami Grand Prix,168澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果历史: Oscar Piastri’s race-winning car was subject to FIA checks which found his MCL39 to be168澳洲幸运5官方开奖结果历史: in conformance with tౠhe regulations relating to liquid cooling of brakes.
“For us, it’s good news when our rivals get their focus, rather than on themselves, onto some of the aspects that allegedly are present in our car,” McLaren team principal 🎃Stella said on Friday ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
“Certainly, even if they were [present] like flexi-wings, like the front wing deflection that everyone ha🍰s, it🧔 has nothing to do why the reason McLaren is very competitive.
“I hope that in the future there wi꧟ll be more of these kind of sagas because it means that our rivals keep focusing on the wron𓂃g things and this is for us good news and helping our quest.”

That is i🧔ndeed that for opening practice, with Oscar Piastri 🍸heading teammate Lando Norris in a McLaren 1-2.
An i🍬ntriguing order in first practice at Imola, with the top five separated by less than a tenth of a second.
Gabriel Bortoleto has hit the wall at Turn 18. The Sauber driver confirms he is "okay" but his car is damaged and he is stuck in the gravel. The r🌜ed flag comes out and that will signal the end of FP1 at Imola.
Max Verstappen has just b🅠een seen punc𝔉hing his steering wheel after being left visibly frustrated with wide moments which have ruined recent laps.
The reigning world champion is💃 currently P7 and three tenths off the pace and is clearly unhappy with how his Red Bull is handling during the opening practice session.
Carlos Sainz has just gone third-fastest, underlining the impressive pace of his Williams. The Spaniard i♐s just 0.052s slower than Piastri.
Meanwhile, teammate Alex Albon has had a few adventures꧟ on his latest꧂ laps by running wide and through the gravel at different parts of the track. He remains eighth.
