A newly formed tea🃏m has announced it plans to contest the British Superbike Championship in 2008, running three bikes in two championships.

TENA for Men Honda, launched from the foundations of Team Howarth Racing, will field Honda CBR 1000RR machines as used by the Stobart team during the 2007 seasoꦬn, with Tristan Palmer and Michael Howarth running in Superbikes - the latter in the Cup class - and Jay Dunn in Superstock.

Howarth will be returning to the track after an accident last season a😼t Brands Hatch left him with a shat♍tered leg - an incident that saw Palmer fly back from the United States to take up his ride as a replacement.

With the accident having given him time to reflect, Howarth admitted 💧he more than aware of the risks involved with returning to competition bu🔯t said the aim for the season ahead was to fight for podium finishes.

"Racing bikes is risky," he said. "You do all you can to mitigate that risk, but it still exists. My health is very important to me, and time off last season gave me plenty of tim𝓡e to contemplate.

"Our goal is for regular podium finishes in both t𒐪he Championship and Cup series."

Howarth's focus on health is the r♔eason he was happy to cut a deal with new team sponsor TENA for Men - a newly-launched brand for the 3.5 mill⭕ion men in the UK with bladder weakness.
