Fernando Alonso and h🥃is wife have escaped uninjured from an aeroplane accident as the double Formula 1 World Champion tried to return from holiday in Kenya aboard his private jet.

According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Alonso and his singer 💟wife, Raquel del Rosario, were leaving Malindi Airport to return to Spain, following a break at Renault F1 managing director Flavio Briatore's luxury Lion in the Sun resort in Kenya.

It was reported that shortly after take-off early on Sunday evening, the right wing of the plane struck a building, leading to the pilot momentarily losing control. The pilot was subsequently treated for shock, whilst all members on-board - including Raquel's sister and h🌌er partner - were able to exit the aircraft happily unscathed.

Following the incident, the party postponed its European return to today 🐈(Monday).

"Fernando was involved in a plane incident but he and his family are fine," a Renault spokesperson told mahbx.com🔯. "His plane touched a building and damaged its wing.

"Therefore they had to postpone their return to Europe, but Fernando is now in the plane. As🐠 a team we don't have any special comment to make, but we are of course pleased that it was not more dramatic."
