Austrian driver Andreas Zuber has signed up🤪 to contest the 'new' World Series by Renault with Carlin Motorsport.

🐷The 22-year-old, who competed in the F3 Euroseries with Team Rosberg in 2004 and 2003, will get his first taste of a World Series car this weekend during th🐎e collective tests at Paul Ricard, in France, before moving on to a two-day test at Barcelona on Wednesday.

"The World Series is a great Championship an✱d drivers from there are moving up to F1 - so you get good racing and a profile that counts for something," said Zuber. "The Carlin Team have a good record over the last two years so I am really looking forward to it."

Zubers' team-mate will bꦬe confirmed later this week.

Carlin meanwhile also revealed that former race engineer in the World Series, Harvey Spencer has replaced Adrian Burgess as team manager. Burgess has move♑d to Jordan to work alongside Trevor Carlin, team owner of Carlin Motorsport. Carlin is the new sporting director at Jordan following the Midland take-over.

Commenting on the appointment of Zuber to his World Series team, Carlin said: "The World Series is hi𝔉ghly credible and I'm not the only one to see the value of it as a training ground for F1. Having raced in Europe for two years, this is the obvious route for Andreas to take."
