MotoGP: Jack Miller breaks leg in Motocross incident

Jack Miller is in doubt for next month's Sepang ღMotoGP test after breaking his right leg in a Motocross incident.
The new Marc VDS rider broke both the tibia and fibulཧa while training at Bellpuig in Spain on 🎀Sunday (January 17), the day before his 21st birthday.
The Australian underwent s⛦urgery this morning to stabilise the two fractures with compression plates and screws and will remain under observation in Barcelona's Hoꦓspital University Quir?n Dexeus for the next 48 hours.
A decision on whether Miller can participate in the first 2016 MotoGP test in Malaysia will be taken nearer the time, in conjunction with the rider and his medical team.
"Jack was unfortunate to sustain an injury so close to the start of pre-season testing, but riders need to train and there is always some risk when you train on the MX bike," said team principal Michael B🧸artholemy.
"The good news is that the injury is not quite as severe as we first thought and that the surgery was successful. For a normal person the recovery period after such an injury would be long, but racer🌌s aren't normal people and I'm sure Jack is keen to get back on a bike as soon as possiblꦆe.
"What is important now is that we monitor his recovery and that he rides again only when he is fit enough to do💜 so, even if that means him missing the first of the MotoGP pre-season tests in Sepang."
The Sepang test takes place from February 1-3, followed by Mill♔er's home Phillip Island test from February 17-1🌄9.
Miller is joining an expanded Marc VDS line-up, along💧side Tito Rabat, after spending hi🧸s rookie MotoGP season with LCR.
