GP2 Series organisers have released the p🤪re-season testing schedule ahead of the 2016 campaign, with the full race calendar expected to be announced in the c꧙oming weeks.

GP2 teams will commence its first three-day test session at the Circuit de Caꦏtalunya between 9-11 March before travelling across Spain to Circuito de Jerez on 29-31 March. Both tests will be open to the media on each day.

The official GP2 Series race calendar will be announced within the next few weeks, with the traditional season curtain raiser expected to be at the Bahrain International Circuit alongside the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. However, with the race weekend scheduled for the 1-3 April it would only give teams a 24 hour turnaround between💎 Jerez and Bahrain.

If the GP2 Series season is𒁏n't due to start in Bahrain the likelihood is 2016 will be launched at Sochi in support of the F1 Russian Grand Prix on the 29 April - 1 May.
