WEC: KCMG gets suspended penalty for G-Drive Fuji clash
Wo🐼rld Endurance Championship LMP2 title fighters KCMG has been given a suspended drive-through penalty as punishment for its actions in a clash with G-Drive in the Fuji 6 Hours race earlier this month.
KCMG's Richard Bradley has been judged to have been guilty of braking early into turn 10 at Fuji, causing the accident with the G-Drive Racing Ligier Nissan driven by Gustavo Yacaman, after thorough analysis ofℱ the data by series technical chiefs.
The Hong Kong-based te♔am had already been involved in a scrape with the sister G-🐽Drive machine earlier in the race which forced it to pit due to damage and dropped down the order from first to a heated battle for third.
The analysis showed꧙ Bradley braked 40 metres earlier than on his previous 10 laps as well as changing up a gear on the straight rather than remaining in fifth as he had done previously.
After being judged to have driven dang🅠ero🦄usly the KCMG squad has been handed a suspended drive-through penalty.
Bradley had been leading in Japan before he was clippౠed by the sister G-Drive with Roman Rusinov at the wheel before his two separate clashes with Yacaman, the second of which sent Bradley into the barriers and༒ out of the race.
Rusinov claimed victory at Fuji w൩ith his team-mates Sam Bird and Julien Canal to take a 12-point lead over KCMG with two rounds to g🥃o in 2015, starting with the Shanghai 6 Hours this weekend.
