Jaime Alguersuari has been forced to pull out of the second season of the FIA 🐻Formula E championship with DS Virgin Racing on medical grounds, as the Spaniard is still suffering𓆉 with an unidentified illness.

The former Toro Rosso F1 driver says he suffered a 'fainting episode' shortly after the Moscow ePrix in June and the FIA commission temporarily suspended his racing li⛦cence until his condition was medically identified and he was deemed fit enough to drive again.

In a statement released via Alguersuari's Facebook page, the former British Formula 3 champion says he is still struggling with the unidentified illness and as a result has had to abandon his plans of a secon🍃d season in Formula E with DS Virgin Racing.

The Spaniard finished 13th in the inaugural Formula E championship despite🤡 missing the double header final round in London and has wished his team luck for the start of the new season.

"During July I underwent several tests for which there has not been a medical resolution and I am still waiting for the final diagnosis," Alguersuari said via his Facebook page. "For this reason I need to announce that, unfortunately, I🌱 will not be able to take part in the FIA Formula E Championship for the 2015/16 season with my team DS Virgin Racing.

"🐲I want to wish good luck to the team in the new championship and thank everyone for their support."

The 25💯-year-old will release an update on his condition and any future plans in September. The 2015-2016 Formula E championship gets underway in Beijing on the 17th October.
