WEC: Rebellion to miss opening rounds

Rebellion Racing's bid to repeat its FIA World Endurance Championship success of a year ago has taken an early hit with the news that the team will skip the first tw🃏o rounds of the 2015 season.
For their eighth consecutive year in Le Mans Prototypes, and fourth in the WEC, the Swiss team has switched its two Rebellion R-One LMP-1 cars from Toyota to AER twin-turbo engines but, as the decision to change was only made deep into the off-season, the team has admitted that it will not be ready in time for either the FIA WEC Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard or the opening rounds at Silverstone and Spa-Fran🌠corchamps.
"We are a little late out of the starting blocks this year, but we firmly believe that our 2015 LMP1 cars will be even🍌 more competitive, so we are looking forward to getting the cars onto the tracks soon," team manager Bart Hayden conceded.
