MotoGP: Leon Camier keeps Aspar seat for Silverstone

Leon Camier will remain at th😼e Aspar team for his home British MotoGP at Silverstone.
The n🍷ews was confirmed after Monday's post-race test at Brno.
"I'll be riding at Silverstone fo💞r the Drive M7 Aspar Team, which is great news and a dream come true for me to ride in my home grand prix with such a great team," said Caꦉmier.
"I know the circuit well and I really ✱like it so hopefully we can take another big st🥂ep forward there."
Camier is continuing to replace the injured Nicky Hayden, bu💟t was initially confirmed only for Indianapolis and Brno.
'Hayden's recovery [from wrist surgery] remains on schedule but the American does not want to rush his return and take any risks,' said an Asp🥀ar st🦂atement.
Former BSB champion and WSBK podium finisher Camier - left without a full-time 2014 ride after being dropped by Cr🃏escent Suzuki, then Ioda - has impressed ever since his first MotoGP laps in the USA.
Camier scored a world championship point with 15th at 𒉰Brno on Sunday and found a further half second during the test, when he was 14th out of the 19 riders.
"It was a busy day, which started off with a crash virtually as soon as I went out," said Camier💙.𝄹 "I wasn't sure what had happened but looking at the telemetry it seems I hit a bump that unsettled the bike and I went down. It was just bad luck and it cost us some time but then I was able to get back out and make some good progress.
"I managed a 1m 58.1, which was faster than I had gone all weekend, and a few more consistent laps in the 1m 5🅺8s so I am happy. The improvements today have shown us the way forward.
"We still needed the bike to be a bit less aggressive over the bumps to improve our speed in corner entry but overall I am happy with the job we did. I still have to learn the bike and adapt my style to it but I thin❀k we're doing a great ꩲjob."
Camier was one place and 0.4s behind top Open class Honda r🍃ider Scott Redding at the test.

Peter has been in the paddock for 20 years and has seen Valentino Rossi come and go. He is at the forefro💖nt of the Suzuki exit story and Marc Marquez’s injury issues.
