The DTM will continue into next season with the same technical regulations following a decisio♏n꧂ to freeze the current specification of cars.

The decision comes after a highly successful and exciting opening season with the new generation of cars allowing BMW, Mercedes and Audi to all compete in clo♈se proximity.

ITR chairman, Hans Werner Aufrecht, believes the close racing wit🍸nessed in 2012 will be maintained next year thanks to the decision made by the ITR and DTM. He also added that cost control along with driver safety remains integral to the regulations.

"We have seen great competition this year. All three brands were capable of winning and at an equal level," 💖he stated.

"For us, maximum safety for the drivers and calculable costs for the manufacturers are significant corner𓆉stones of our strategy, particularly in economically chꦐallenging times."

Dr. Hans-Gerd Ennser, board member of the Deutscher Motor Sport Bund, states it's vital to continue the progress mad💖e from this yeaཧr's successful championship running.

"The regulations were🦋 a guarantee for a unique equality of chances, so that all the manufacturers involved have scored race wins and the battle for the overall tit✅le remained open until the final round," Ennser added.

"In 20ꦡ13, we want to continue our progress in this su🥀ccessful way," he concluded.
